Callacata marble is a premium natural stone – white to very light background with dramatic veining in grey, gold, sometimes beige or other tones.
The tile version can either be natural marble (i.e., actual Calacatta marble cut into tile form) or porcelain/vitrified tiles printed/engineered to look like Calacatta marble. For example, the product page for a “Dramatic Calacatta Marble” tile refers to glazed vitrified, inspired by Calacatta.
It is valued for its luxurious look, high contrast (white + bold veins) and used in high-end kitchens, bathrooms, feature walls.
